As you/your student-athlete start having dialogue with college coaches, simply ask them, "Coach, I am curious, where do I currently stand on your recruiting board for my position?" Most coaches will be frank with you...some will not. The key is that if they say you are our NUMBER 1 guy on the board for that position, then it is time to start talking about OFFICIAL recruiting visits and scholarship offers.
