Meaningful Work = Success!?

by Chris Berg on June 18, 2009

In a recent blog post I talked about the books, OUTLIERS and TALENT IS OVERRATED, and how these authors discovered KEY concepts by studying successful people.

I found a GREAT video by Malcolm Gladwell, the author of OUTLIERS that I wanted to share with you.

In this video he discusses:

The IMPORTANCE of MEANINGFUL WORK, and how SUCCESSFUL people have this concept ingrained into their heart and mind.

I would like to hear from you what you think about his ideas around success. I know a lot of you that read this blog are extremely successful in your life, and I believe your experience and comments can help the high school athletes that read this blog. Thanks in advance for your comments.

CHRIS: I ENJOYED MALCOLM GLADWELL’S “PRESENTATION.” A PERSON REALLY “APPRECIATES” KNOWING THE STORY OF THE “BEATTLES.” WHEN ONE GETS TIRED OF WHAT THEY’RE DOING, JUST THINK OF WHAT THEY WENT THRU TO BE THE “UNIQUE” GROUP, THAT THEY ENDED UP BEING. I WAS IMPRESSED AT THE LARGE GROUP ATTENDING HIS “MESSAGE.”

Chris great web site. So happy to see the success you have been in helping others know how important education is, and how to reach for the goals in life we all dream of. Keep up the good work.
